What's in Your Cart Linky? TpT Back to School Sale!

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far, I know I have! I've taken a much needed break from any and all types of work and have thoroughly loved every minute of it!  But, I'm excited to go back to school soon, as I'm sure you all are :)  And as luck would have it, it's time for another TpT sale!  I'm linking up with Jenna, from Speech Room News to show you what's in my cart.

 Here's what's in my cart:

Dragon's Love Tacos Speech and Language Book Companion by School SLP

I've been wanting to get my hands on this book for awhile, so it's on my list for back to school purchases.  This book companion looks amazing, it's common core aligned, and targets a variety of activities!  Yay!

Back to School Scavenger Hunt and I Spy Games by Small Talk SLP

My students love playing I Spy and doing scavenger hunts, and so do I!  It definitely puts a nice twist on therapy.  This activity is print and go which is awesome, and can target multiple goals. I'm really looking forward to having this in my therapy tool-box :)

No Print Back to School Receptive and Expressive Language by the Speech Owl

Obviously I LOVE these no print products from The Speech Owl since they're on my list EVERY time!  These are seriously the best go-to activities.  It's super easy, no prep, multiple targets, and the students love using the iPad.

And here are a couple things that are in my store that are great for BTS and fall :)

Bobbing for Apples Receptive and Expressive Language

This is a great BTS/Fall themed game that targets object function, categories, compare/contrast, wh questions, and vocabulary.  Place the cards in a bowl or basket, and let the kiddos "bob" for apples!

This is one of my favorites to use in therapy.  It's print and go- so basically no prep! It has activities for following directions, prepositions, bingo, pronouns, and categories.

This includes coloring pages for both early and later developing sounds and 10 words are included on each page. I love to use these during therapy and then send them home for more practice, so it's a win win in my eyes!

Quick Tip Tuesday Linky

Hey there!! Today I'm linking up with Kim, from School SLP to give you a couple quick tips that I use in my therapy room.

1. I use a binder with tabbed folders to hold all my student's data sheets. I use one tabbed folder for each student.  In my opinion, it has been SO MUCH EASIER than using regular manila folders. I just slip each data sheet in between the folders, almost like a file (vs. actually putting it in the folder each and every time I take it out or put it back). When the data sheet is full, I THEN put it in the actual folder part. I spent the first month of the school year putting all the data sheets in the actual folder and taking them out, and then I realized I didn't have to- just slip them in! Easy peasy!!

2. I use a small washcloth as a white board eraser.  Since I don't have an eraser in my room, I just brought in a clean washcloth, and it works much better than the actual erasers for some reason!  You can just take it home after awhile to wash it.  My students and I were using tissue after tissue erasing our boards, so I finally decided to try something else! It works great :)

I hope these tips can help you out! Make sure to check out Kim's linky (if you haven't already) to get some other great ideas. Happy Tuesday :)

Interactive Book of Pronouns!

This has FINALLY happened!  I finished the book that I've been working on for two WHOLE months :) :) I am so extremely excited about this pronoun book- it's going to be very helpful to many kiddos on my caseload. I have always needed something to help teach and work on pronouns, both receptively and expressively and this is now my go-to.  It's been tested by my students over the past couple of weeks and they've really enjoyed using it. I have seen more progress toward this goal in the past few sessions with this book, then I have all year- YAY!!

Here is what's included in the book: it addresses the following pronouns: she, he, they, his, hers, him, her, them, their, and theirs. The majority of the book is comprised of receptive tasks to target pronouns. However, I also included activities to work on this goal expressively. There are sentence strips which can be used with any of the pictures (student has to state a sentence using a pronoun), as well as sentence pages (student has to write a sentence about each picture using a pronoun). The entire book is 46 pages in length which means tons and TONS of pronoun practice (this number does not include the additional picture pages)!! Many of the sample pictures included below have multiple pages to use to target different pronouns (with different pictures of course!).

The first page in the book is a teaching and reference page for students to have. When I use the book, I take this out of the binder and use it for the students to refer to if they need additional help.

There are many different pages that look like the one above and below, which are pointing tasks. Or, you could spice things up by using a dry erase marker and have the student circle the correct picture. :)

In the picture above, the student has to place a star on the correct pronoun (there are lots of these pages included in the book!).

On pages like the one above, students choose from several pictures to place next to the correct sentence. (Pictures are below).

There are several pages where the student has to put the correct word (pronoun) in front of the sentence. (Words below).

At the end of the book, a variety pages are included for students to write sentences using pronouns that they've learned. I've also included optional word banks to place on the sentence pages (shown below), if the student needs a little extra help with forming a sentence. These can be removed if the student does not need them.

And finally, there are four sentence strips to use with any of the kid pictures. Place a picture on the square and have the student complete the sentence.

I made a quick video explaining the set up and use of the book:

You can find this interactive book in my TpT shop HERE. Please let me know if you have any questions about it!
