Wild About Books Wednesday Linky!

Today, I'm linking up with Scarlett, from Speech is Sweet, to talk about a great book to use in therapy around Christmas time.

Merry Christmas Splat, by Rob Scotton, is such a cute little story about a silly cat, Splat, who decides to write a letter to Santa to tell him what he wants for Christmas. Well, Splat's sister puts the idea in his head that he hasn't been very good this year and won't get anything from Santa. So, in order to show that he's a good cat, Splat then goes off and helps his mom get everything ready for Christmas. However, he really only creates more work for his mom along the way. But don't worry, in the end, Splat DOES get a gift from Santa :)

This book has lots of great opportunities for working on context clues, inferencing and vocabulary. It's also great for working on /s/ and /s/ blends!

Head on over to Speech is Sweet to check out more great book ideas to use in therapy! Thanks for stopping by :)
